Phantom GX 2 Elite FG
-
Pros:
Hands down, the Phantom GX Elite is my favorite new cleat this season! Why? Because it has Nike Gripknit – an amazing sticky material on the upper part of the cleat that provides a controlled touch on the ball. The micro-molding texture works with Gripknit that forms to your foot which gives more control for dribbling and clean strikes. Gripknit can only be found on Phantom GX and Phantom Luna. Also, because of the offset laces that are angled going down the shoe to provide maximum touch in striking and dribbling. This cleat is lightweight and great for any position on the field. -
Cons:
I love the grip on the upper but, it does not stretch, and some players may not like that.

Nike Mercurial Vapor 15 Elite AS FG
-
Pros:
This cleat is one of my favorites because of its barefoot touch. The upper is made from Vaporposite+, which combines a grippy, grid mesh with a premium lining to give a natural feel to the ball like there is nothing separating you and the ball. This allows you to really feel the ball with your actual foot when shooting, dribbling or passing. In addition, it has tri-star studs that are designed for speed by really digging into the ground to give an explosive first step to change directions quickly. This extremely lightweight cleat is best for attacking players but can be worn by all players. -
Cons:
This cleat is narrow, making it hard to get on.

Nike Tiempo Legend 10 Elite FG
-
Pros:
The Legend Elite makes my top list because its molded fit makes it a comfortable fitting cleat without sacrificing touch. The molded fit is thanks to Nike’s FlyTouch Plus engineered leather that helps mold the cleat to your foot without over stretching to give a proper fit. In addition, it has All Conditions Control (ACC) technology that adds a grippy texture in both wet and dry conditions. This cleat has hybrid studs – a mix of conical studs and blades that help to change directions easier. This light cleat is typically worn by midfielders and defenders that need to quickly change directions. -
Cons:
The leather will stretch, and the shoe will become looser with wear. Also, this cleat only comes in a low-top.

Nike Premier III FG
-
Pros:
This soccer cleat is a true classic with a fold over tongue and premium leather that will stretch to your foot. Overall, this cleat is very comfortable and a solid choice for players with a wider foot. The Premier III has conical studs that provide traction at high speeds and allow for quick turns because the studs do not get as stuck in the ground as others. -
Cons:
Some players do not like the fold over tongue feel and cut it out. In addition, this cleat can be snug in the toes.
